Ajmer top cleric calls for denouncing anti-humanity slogans

Jaipur, July 10 (SocialNews.XYZ) On the occasion of Eid, Haji Syed Salman Chishty, Gaddi Nashin-Dargah Ajmer Sharif and Chairman-Chishty Foundation on Sunday called for denouncing slogans which are anti-Islamic and anti-humanity.

"We completely denounce the slogans which are anti-Islamic and anti-humanity. They are the real culprits who are bringing these slogans of violence, death and destruction," said Haji Syed Salman Chishty.

This statement comes after provocative speeches reportedly made by two dargah functionaries. Gauhar Chishti, had given "sar tan se juda" slogan outside the dargah in Ajmer on June 17, and Salman chishti's video announcing he will hand over his entire property to the one who "brings Nupur's head to him" had gone viral.

Haji Syed Salman Chishty said, "To hear such slogans which aren't attached to Dargah Ajmer Sharif and some individuals who have raised these slogans -- we denounce and boycott them completely. World should know that this has nothing to do with Ajmer Dargah Sharif or the community of Ghareeb Nawaz."

"Such slogans and calls for violence are un-Islamic, anti-Islamic, anti-humanity & anti-society. The authority should take note of such individuals and exemplary punishment should be given to them. This is an issue of radical ideology which has been creeping up," Chishty added.

It needs to be mentioned here that the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) on Saturday gave a call to Muslims to condemn the Udaipur incident.

Replying to a question on the Udaipur horror, Sunil Ambekar, Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh said that the Muslim society was expected to condemn such incident. "Some intellectuals have condemned, but the Muslim society as a whole should also come forward and oppose it vigorously. Such incidents are neither in the interest of the society nor of the country," he said adding, "along with freedom of expression, public sentiment should also be taken care of."

"The brutal murder in Udaipur is highly condemnable. There is democracy in our country. If someone doesn't like something, there is a democratic way to react to it. Hindu society is giving its response in a peaceful, constitutional way. Muslim society is also expected to call for stopping such incident," he added.
