Heroism From Films Isn’t Going Anywhere Says Sanjay Dutt

Mumbai, 25th June 2022 (NewsHelpline) – Actor Sanjay Dutt is the quintessential macho man of Indian film industry, that actor has rocked the audience with his stellar performance in KGF Chapter 2, says heroism from cinema isn’t going anywhere.

Sanjya Dutt was interacting with NewsHelpline on the sidelines of Shamshera trailer launch in Mumbai. The period drama is helmed by Karan Malhotra, also starring Ranbir Kapoor and Vaani Kapoor in the lead roles.

When asked that some of the last few releases, Pushpa, Vikram, RRR, KFG Franchise, has sort of introduced heroism back in the movies, Sanjay Dutt said, “Heroism is back in action, I don’t think it had left the space, but industry did forget about the genre, I am happy that Karan made such a film (Shamshera), as he is always thinking about such topics, larger than life movie, the larger-than-life hero, heroine and the villain, and I am telling you, this heroism isn’t going anywhere, it will never leave movies”

Shamshera is the first film featuring Ranbir Kapoor in a double role; Dutt plays the main antagonist and Vaani Kapoor portrays a dancer.

When asked about Adheera and Shudh Singh being similar character, Sanjay added, “There is no similarity between Andheera and Shudh Singh, KGF Chapter 2 and Shamshera are two different films, two different characters, Andheera was more intense and less talkative, but Shudh Singh is more fun and talkative, he is fun and dangerous at the same time, he is cunning, I really cannot compare both the films, they are totally different”

The film tells the story of a dacoit tribe, and their fight for independence against the British rule. The film is produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films, the film is slated for 22nd July 2022 release.
