Rajkummar Rao was interacting with NewsHelpline at the trailer launch of HIT-The First Case, Hindi remake. The film is helmed by Sailesh Kolanu, and bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar and Dil Raju.
In the movie, Rajkummar Rao plays the role of a cop suffering from PTSD. We asked the actor, what is underlying message in the film, and he said, “We don’t really take mental diseases very seriously in our country, that’s the irony, we don’t really talk about it, and PTSD is the most important thing that we should talk about, we don’t even realize that they are going through something like that, they don’t realize that they are having panic attacks, it is really important to have the conversation about mental diseases, and I am glad, with our film we might have the beginning of that conversation”
HIT- The First Case, was followed by HIT- The Second Case in Telugu, helmed by Sailesh Kolanu.
So we asked Rajkummar Rao if he’d seen in sequel of the film, and he added, “I am excited about the film and playing this character Vikram, because it gives me a lot to do as an actor, and working with the whole team was great experience, especially with Sailesh and Sanya, I had fun time working on-screen and off-screen as well, and I’d love to have the same experience repeatedly”
