New Delhi, June 8 (SocialNews.XYZ) The CISF in the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday detained a Congo national who was found in the possession of huge quantity of medicines worth Rs 26.28 lakh.
"On the basis of behavioural detection, CISF surveillance and intelligence staff noticed suspicious activities of a foreign passenger at check-in area, Terminal-3. The passenger later identified as Kundina Nsisi Makengo, a Congo National, bound for Kinshasa via Addis Ababa by Ethiopian Airlines flight was diverted to the random checking point for thorough checking of his luggage," said the CISF official.
The official said that the passenger was carrying four registered and one hand baggage.
On screening of his baggage through X-BIS machine, CISF personnel noticed suspicious images inside the bags. On physical checking, huge quantity of different types of medicines worth Rs 26.28 lakh were detected.
On enquiry, the passenger could not produce supporting documents or Doctor's prescription for carrying such huge quantity of medicines.
The matter was informed to senior officers of CISF and Customs officials. Later, the said foreign passenger along with detected medicines was handed over to customs for further action in the matter.
