Two held for stealing tractor-trolleys in Gurugram

Gurugram, May 17 (SocialNews.XYZ) Two people have been arrested by the crime branch unit of the Gurugram police for allegedly stealing half a dozen tractor-trolleys and water tankers of farmers.

The accused have been identified as Amit Singh and Deep Chand alias Tinku, both residents of Ujina village in Nuh district.

The police claimed that three trolleys and two water tankers were recovered from their possession and a murder case was also solved with their arrest.

Preet Pal Sangwan, ACP (crime), said a complaint was filed by Shamsher, a resident of Uncha Majra village, at the Pataudi police station in Gurugram.

"The accused had stolen the complainant's tractor-trolley parked in front of his uncle's house on the night of May 7-8. Similarly, from May 3 to May 5, about half a dozen complaints of theft of tractor-trolleys and water tankers were received from the area of Bilaspur and Pataudi," Sangwan said.

The accused were arrested by a team of crime branch Farrukhnagar on Monday from Bilaspur Chowk after a tip-off.

During interrogation, the culprits disclosed that they had beaten to death a man over an old rivalry in Nuh.

"The accused were on the run after committing the crime. During this period they started stealing tractor-trolleys and water tankers of farmers. Half a dozen cases of theft and a murder case were solved with their arrest. They used to sell the stolen vehicles in Kotputli, Rajasthan. The duo will be taken on police remand for further probe," Sangwan added.
