I think I Have Aced The Storm Says Shilpa Shetty About Raj Kundra’s Controversy

Mumbai, 17th May 2022 (NewsHelpline) - Shilpa Shetty Kundra went through a tough time due to Raj Kundra’s alleged involvement in Porn-racket during the pandemic, and now as the actress is making a comeback to silver-screen, she refuses to talk about troubled time, says she has aced the storm. 

 

Shilpa Shetty Kundra was interacting with NewsHelpline during the trailer launch of Nikamma, her comeback to silver-screen after 14 years of sabbatical. 

 

When asked about troubled time and her name being dragged through the mud during Raj Kundra’s controversy, Shilpa reacted and said, “I think we are here to celebrate a new beginning, not just for me, but my director Sabbir Khan and actors who have worked really hard on the movie, and I don’t think this is about me or my life, if it had been pertinent to the movie I would have answered the question”

 

“Talking about going through a difficult phase, yes, we all have been through rough patch since last couple of years, not just for me, but everyone, especially from film fraternity. The films were ready but canned, as they couldn’t release it, now this is a big moment for us, I am making a comeback after 14 years in a theatre, so let’s just focus on the good, and I think I have aced the storm” added Shilpa. 

 

Helmed by Sabbir Khan, the action comedy stars Shilpa Shetty, Abhimanyu Dassani, and Shirley Setia.The film is produced by Shabbir Khan Films and Sony Pictures India.

 

The film was initially scheduled for a June 2020 release, it was indefinitely postponed due to production halt and theatres shutdown owing to COVID-19 pandemic. It's a remake of 2017 Telugu film  Middle Class Abbayi and scheduled to be released on 17 June 2022.
