Madhavan also shared a picture and wrote, “With all your blessings & God’s grace@swim_sajan and @VedaantMadhavan won gold and silver respectively for India, at The Danish open in Copenhagen. Thank you sooo much Coach Pradeep sir, SFI and ANSA. We are so Proud”
While Vedaant won Silver for India, Sajan Prakash who hails from the Idukki district of Kerala has won the Gold medal.
Meanwhile on the work front, Madhavan's most recent film release was Maara (2021) with debut filmmaker Dhilip Kumar, while his next is Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, a biopic on rocket scientist Nambi Narayanan directed by himself.
Rocketry: The Nambi Effect is based on the life of Nambi Narayanan, a former scientist and aerospace engineer of the Indian Space Research Organisation who was accused of espionage. The film is written, produced and directed by Madhavan, who is also playing the titular lead role alongside Simran. It is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on 1 July 2022.
