BCCI announced the deadline for all teams to declare their retained and released players for the IPL 2022. The window was closed on Tuesday, 30th of November. Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, and Glenn Maxwell were among the names that were retained.

IPL Auction 2022
IPL auction 2022 holds extra thrill and excitement for a reason. There will addition of two more teams into the tournament. And so, a total of 10 teams will be participating in the IPL 2022 auction. The new teams for the 2022 IPL will be Ahmedabad and Lucknow franchises.

Remaining Purse of IPL Teams 2022
Each team is given a purse of 90 crore rupees, from which a specific amount will be deducted depending upon the number of retained players. For instance, MI retained 4 players this year and 42 crores are being deducted from their purse. So, now they're left with 48 crore rupees to spend at the auction. The same is the case with CSK and KKR.
While Punjab Kings has the highest remaining amount of 72 crores. Then, SRH has 68 and RR 62. RCB after retaining 3 players is being left with 57 crores and DC with 47.5 crores.
