“Bamb Grenade” directed by Mina Banerji Sandhu with renowned Punjabi rap-singer Dil Sandhu

Never belonged to the glamour industry, destiny had better plans for her. Being a director,fighter,traveler and inspiration for millions, Mina Banerji Sandhu is really talented and beautiful inside and out. In the area where female directors are fighting for equal presentation and respect as men even in Hollywood, B-town female filmmakers are facing the same. They are waging a battle against long-standing patriarchy prevailing in the country. Women Filmmakers are exacting the quo status accross the wildly diversified landscape of Indian cinema spanning uncountable genres and almost a dozen languages, whether at the art house, regional cinema or within conventional Bollywood. However,even by the motionless unequal international standards,female delineation behind the camera remains frightfully low.

Inspite of all the discrimination, Mina banerji Sandhu thinks "There's nothing called a Male director or female director. A director is a director. I have trust on my creativity. So, what I'll be doing, it's purely on my own," adding that she wants to be an inspiration for other women who are trying to don directorial hat. From working for corporates, travelled worldwide, Mina Banerji Sandhu, now has been on a long journey to become a producer/director.

She directed Bamb Grenade with renowned Punjabi rap-singer Dil Sandhu. She's also handling all Dil Sandhu's projects. She has been working on other projects too about which she will reveal soon. She likes numerous fantastic Bollywood directors, she says. She loves travelling and meeting new people and interacting with them, exploring new cultures and traditions, reading books, gardening and listening to good music.
