Doha Forum 2022/ Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Meets Officials

HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani met separately on Saturday with HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Ayman Al Safadi; HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Muhtar Tileuberdi; HE Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey Mevlut Cavusoglu; HE Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria Ramtane Lamamra, and HE Prof. Jl. Peres, on the sidelines of Doha Forum 2022.

HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs also met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka; HE Secretary of Foreign Affairs of the United Mexican States Marcelo Ebrard Casaubon; HE Minister in the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister for Education and Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Singapore Dr. Mohamad Maliki Osman; HE Foreign Minister of Libya Najla Al Manqoush; HE Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council Dr. Nayef Falah Mubarak Al Hajraf; HE High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission Josep Borrell; HE US Presidential Special Envoy for Climate John Kerry; HE US Special Envoy for Iran Robert Malley; HE High Representative for the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) Miguel Moratinos; and HE Senior Vice President of Exxon Mobil Neil Chapman, on the sidelines of the Forum.
The meetings reviewed aspects of the bilateral cooperation, in addition to issues of common concern.

The 20th edition of Doha Forum kicked off Saturday under the theme "Transforming for a New Era" with the aim of launching dialogue and debate on the critical challenges facing the world, promoting the exchange of ideas, policy-making, and providing applicable recommendations.

The two-day forum, which is held in-person for the first time since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, is the largest in its history, and brings together a number of heads of state and government, politicians, parliamentarians, thinkers and media representatives, making the Forum a real opportunity for dialogue between various sectors to reach viable solutions.
