A second-string Indian cricket squad is set to play against Ireland in two T20 international matches hosted in Malahide on 26th June and 28th June this year. Cricket Ireland confirmed that India’s second-string team will be touring the country for a brief two-match T20I series in June, but the series is unlikely to feature top players.
Some of the top cricketers likely to miss out on the action in Ireland include skipper Rohit Sharma, first-choice wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant, pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah, and star batter Virat Kohli. These star cricketers will have to miss the brief Ireland tour as the remaining test match from 2021’s tour of England will take place from 1st-5th July.
In a tweet, Cricket Ireland said this summer is set to be a season for stars as New Zealand, Afghanistan and India will be touring Ireland. The Irish cricket team is preparing for the biggest international season at home, before facing South Africa in Bristol.
India will start Ireland’s bumper home summer with the two T20I matches before finishing the England tour, which begins with last summer’s postponed test match on 1st July at Edgbaston. That presents plenty of opportunities for cricket fans to wager with the Comeon bonus code, which presents a great welcome offer for Indian sports punters.
After finishing the postponed fifth Test, India will play six white-ball matches (three ODIs and three T20Is) against England from 7th July. That’s after playing against Ireland, who they last met in 2018 when they won the two-match T20I series 2-0.
According to Cricket Ireland Chief Executive Warren, the country is delighted to welcome India’s men's squad back and the top-ranked ODI team, the Black Caps. The Black Caps last visited Ireland in 2017, where they crashed the Irish team 2-0.
Given that Ireland will be shortly heading to the T20 WC, the squad is also getting ready for two T20I series against Afghanistan and South Africa. However, Cricket Ireland is grateful to the Gloucestershire Cricket Club who agreed to host the upcoming South African series.
Ireland has decided to postpone this year’s Zimbabwe tour which was earlier planned for April and their home Bangladesh Test series to 2023. Fortunately, the country will still host a record amount of cricket matches against some of the best cricket teams in the world even after making these changes.
It’s understood that the Irish Cricket’s broadcast revenue collected from the two T20Is will help the country earn more cash than all the other matches organized for the rest of the season. However, there will be more exciting announcements that are yet to come regarding the women's fixtures.
