The joint collaboration of Fox Star Studios, Friday Filmworks and Bootroom Sports Production, the biopic is helmed by Jayprad Desai.
The film gives a unique insight into the life and passion of the leg spinner who started playing for Rajasthan Royals at the age of 41 with just dreams in his eyes and an untiring tenacity to prove his love for the sport.
The film also stars Ashish Vidyarthi, Parambrata Chatterjee, and Anjali Patil in pivotal roles. The film is written by Kiran Yadnyopavit, and it is set to release on Disney+ Hotstar on April 1, 2022, in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
