Audience Made ‘A Thursday Hit Says Yami Gautam

Mumbai, 5th March 2022 (NewsHelpline) – Actress Yami Gautam’s first ever solo lead movie, A Thursday, found its niche audience and has been making headlines ever since its release, and now the actress credits the audience for the success of the film.

Yami Gautam was interacting with NewsHelpline at the red-carpet gala of Brand Summit Vision 2022 in Mumbai.

When asked about the success of her movie, Yami said, “My film is doing good because of the response of the people. It was a small movie, we didn’t even promote it all that much, but the kind of response audience gave and related with the movie, and accept it with open arms, I am so overwhelmed with it”

“I am grateful to audience and certain section of media, for appreciating the movie, this has been a special film for me as an actor, I know, I was headlining a film for the first time, I was a bit nervous but confident enough to bring this story on the screen and take it to the audience, and I am glad it all paid off” added Yami.

Brand Summit Vision 2022 was aimed to understand the changing landscape post covid-era and individuals making a difference in everyone’s lives.

Talking about the making a change, Yami said, “I am an actor and in a very small ways, I have tried to talk about women’s safety through my film, regardless of your gender, we all are concerned about safety of women, and this topic is connected with us all, so that is one way of changing things”

Meanwhile on the work front, Yami Gautam will soon be seen in Dasvi with Abhishek Bachchan and Nimrat Kaur. The film is helmed by Tushar Jalota and written by Ritesh Shah.
