The Kashmir Files Trailer Is Out And It Is Gut-Wrenching

Mumbai, 21st February 2022 (NewsHelpline) - After initial delays, first official trailer for “The Kashmir Files’ is finally out and this one is not for faint hearted. The sheer brutality and hardship of Kashmiri Pandits is heart-wrenching.

Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri took to his social media profile and dropped the trailer. He captioned it, “India is at war. But nobody is telling you. Not anymore. Pl watch the trailer of the most Brutally Honest story of Kashmir Genocide. Pl share if you like it. #TheKashmirFiles #RightToJustice”

This is second most controversial topic-based movie from Vivek post his epic hit The Tashkent Files. This one narrates the hardship and exodus, or perhaps the genocide of Kashmiri Pandits during early 1990’s.

Kashmiri Pandits were killed by radical Islamic people, Pandits were made to leave their homes, some survived to tell the tale and some who didn’t run, were butchered or worse in broad day light.

The tale is narrated from different perspectives, especially the one who has done the killing, and those who has done the dying, this is not just a movie, it is plight of people, who despite being an integral part of this great nation, has endured unprecedented hardships, which continues till today.

The film stars an incredible ensemble of Mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Kher, Darshan Kumar, Pallavi Joshi, Puneet Issar, Prakash Belawadi, Atul Srivastava, Bhasha Sumbli, Prithviraj Sarnaik, Mrinal Kulkarni and Chinmay Mandlekar.

The film was set to release theatrically worldwide on 26 January 2022, coinciding with India's Republic Day, but was postponed due to Omicron variant spread. Now, the film is scheduled to release on 11 March 2022.
