Amazon Prime Video was initially in pole position to bag Pawan Kalyan's Bheemla Nayak and Vijay Deverakonda's Liger. But in the very last minute, Amazon Prime lost both these films to their direct rivals Disney+ Hotstar.
Disney+ Hotstar is said to have paid a whopping Rs 65 crores for Liger, which is the highest ever for any Telugu film till now. So, it is evident that Hostar is indeed ready to outbid Amazon Prime Video and acquire Telugu biggies.
Bheemla Nayak is another mainstream biggie that Hotstar snapped up while Amazon Prime Video was almost certain to acquire the film. The same thing happened here as well. Hotstar paid more than what Amazon offered.
Well, it is evident that Disney+ Hotstar has set its focus on Telugu cinema and they are not backing down even if needed to pay whopping amount of money for big-ticket films.
