Bappi Lahiri’s Legacy Will Live On With His Music Says Yami Gautam

Mumbai, 17th February 2022 (NewsHelpline) – Actress Yami Gautam pays a homage to singer and composer Bappi Lahiri, who passed away yesterday due to health complications.

Bappi Lahiri or Bappi Da, as he was called by friends, colleagues, and fans, died of sleep apnea in a Mumbai hospital on Tuesday night. He was 69 years old.

During her interaction with NewsHelpline on the sidelines of A Thursday special screening, Yami Gautam said, “I know he is not with us anymore, but his work is his legacy which he has left behind and he will be remembered forever for it, so Bappi Lahiri’s work is something we all know, and he will live on forever”

Yami Gautam and filmmaker Behzad Khambata organized a special screening of thriller ‘A Thursday for friends and family in Mumbai, ahead of its digital release.

Talking about the film and its response, Yami Gautam said, “So far, the reviews and responses from media and critics has been good, I hope everyone in media, audience and paparazzi also watch this film. It is an important movie, a different kind of movie, we have tried to deliver a message in an entertaining and engaging manner. So far, the response has been good. The film will start streaming soon, we are here screening it for some of our friends”

The film is jointly produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Premnath Rajagopalan under the banners RSVP Movies and Blue Monkey Films. It also stars Neha Dhupia, Atul Kulkarni, Dimple Kapadia and Karanvir Sharma.

The film streamed last night on Disney+ Hotstar.
