Rajesh Mapuskar was interacting with NewsHelpline at the trailer launch of Rudra- The Edge Of Darkness, starring Ajay Devgn and Esha Deol in the lead roles.
When asked about directing slice of life drama to slicing life crime thriller, Rajesh said, “I was on the edge all the time, I was scared, I grappled and struggled throughout the show, but what excites me is human drama, and discovering why people commit crime, so I had the curiosity and on the other hand there is this super cop with intelligence goes about cracking the crime”
“This whole chemistry of two worlds coming together and creating something magical, so, I was very curious and what to challenge myself, how I am going to do this? And the makers believed that I could do it, so I did it” added Rajesh.
The riveting psychological crime drama also stars Raashi Khanna, Esha Deol, Atul Kulkarni, Ashwini Kalsekar, Tarun Gahlot, Ashish Vidyarthi, and Satyadeep Misra in pivotal roles.

The six-episode series is an Indian rendition of the globally successful British series, Luther. The series has a dark and complex narrative that is an idiosyncratic race-against-the-clock thriller delving into the psyche of highly intelligent criminals and the detective who hunts them.
