In the teaser, a bunch of street dweller kids are playing make-shift instrument and slowly the character of Big B as Vijay Barse, who is the founder of Slum Soccer, an organisation which uplifts underprivileged children through football, is unveiled.
Marking Nagraj Manjule's debut in Bollywood, Jhund chronicles Vijay Barse’s life and his contribution as a sports teacher. The film also stars Vicky Kadian and Ganesh Deshmukh in lead roles.
The film is bankrolled by T-Series, Tandav Films Entertainment Pvt.Ltd and Aatpat Films. The film is scheduled for release on 4 March 2022.
