Ghoomer marks Abhishek’s second collaboration with R Balki after their 2009 release Paa which also featured Amitabh Bachchan and Vidya Balan in key roles.

Abhishek Bachchan earlier collaborated with Kookie Gulati for The Big Bull, the film did not release theatrically due to the COVID-19 pandemic and streamed on Disney plus Hotstar. He followed it another digital release, Bob Biswas, with Red Chillies Entertainment production.
Abhishek recently wrapped Dasvi, helmed by debutant director Tushar Jalota. The movie is being bankrolled by Dinesh Vijan and will also star Yami Gautam and Nimrat Kaur in the lead.
Dasvi is written by Ritesh Shah, it will star Bachchan as an uneducated politician, with Gautam as an IPS officer.
