Rudra - The Edge of Darkness is helmed by Rajesh Mapuskar, it is an official Hindi remake of the hit BBC series Luther, starring Idris Elba.
In the original series, Elba’s character is a brilliant, driven, and obsessed cop. However, the horrible crimes he has to face on his job have made him mentally disturbed, reckless, and even violent at times. Rudra is taking the same route, Ajay’s character is calm, collected and welcomes the dark side of human nature with some humour.
The six-episode series also stars Raashi Khanna, Esha Deol, Atul Kulkarni, Ashwini Kalsekar, Tarun Gahlot and Satyadeep Misra.
