Twenty-eight patients have been diagnosed positive for COVID-19 in tests carried out today at Testing Stations in the Central, Anseba and Gash Barka Regions.

Out of these, twenty-one patients are from Testing Stations in Asmara, Central Region. Six patients are from Testing Stations in Keren (5), and Adi-Tekelezan (1); Anseba Region. The last patient is from Testing Station in Barentu, Gash Barka Region.

On the other hand, ninety-one patients who have been receiving medical treatment in hospitals in the Central (58), Southern (15), Anseba (10), Southern Red Sea (5), and Gash Barka (3) Regions have recovered fully and have been discharged from these facilities. Sadly, 75 years old patient in the Central Region has passed away due to the pandemic.

 

The total number of recovered patients has accordingly increased to 9,004 while the number of deaths has risen to 97.

The total number of confirmed cases in the country to date has increased to 9,436.
