Raging War Of OTT And Television, Naina Singh And Abhishek Chaudhary Share Their Take

Mumbai, 22^nd January 2022 (NewsHelpline) – OTT is not just competing with films, but now television stars also facing discrimination from digital show makers. Reality show Naina Singh and Abhishek Chaudhary shares their takes on the issue. 

 

NewsHelpline asked Naina Singh whether OTT platform and Television are tussling over space, she added, “I don’t know if OTT and Television is tussling over space, but I know one thing everyone has made their groups. OTT people just want to work with OTT faces, they are not encouraging television people. It has happened with me; I was cast in a show than I got rejected because I was in Bigg Boss. People typecast you and don’t want to encourage or entertain you to do new things” 

 

Agreeing with Naina Singh, actor Abhishek Chaudhary also narrated the same tale, he added, “Getting off the tag of reality show is tough. I did MTV Splitsvilla some five years ago, but I still get rejected or told that I am an MTV face and didn’t deserve the OTT show”

 

Further adding, Naina Singh and Abhishek Chaudhary slammed Bigg Boss for turning the reality show into a big bore and celebrities living a false identity of stars. 

 

Naina said, “Creating false celebrity status, see I will not question that because who so ever you have seen on television, they probably have done something, which is okay. People have a wrong definition of celebrity, it is not the attitude after one show, it is consistent work and humility towards everyone” 

 

Abhishek said, “Bigg Boss show has turned boring, literally just the four contestants are running the show for four years now. It is super boring now. No new talented is getting the proper space”
