The Government has appointed Mr Anthony Lim Weng Kin as Singapore’s first Non-Resident Ambassador to the Republic of Colombia, Ms Tan Poh Hong as Singapore’s next Non-Resident Ambassador to the Kingdom of Denmark, and Mr Lim Ming Yan as Singapore’s next Non-Resident High Commissioner to the Republic of Mauritius.
Mr Anthony Lim Weng Kin is an Independent Director at DBS Group Holdings and DBS Bank. He is also Lead Independent Director at CapitaLand and CapitaLand Hope Foundation.
Mr Lim serves on a number of committees at DBS, CapitaLand, and the Scholars Rescue Fund at the Institute of International Education. He has held various senior positions in GIC Private Limited, Bankers Trust Company, and the Monetary Authority of Singapore.
Mr Lim graduated with a Bachelor of Science from the National University of Singapore in 1982.
Ms Tan Poh Hong is an adjunct Associate Professor at the National University of Singapore Business School. During her time in the Public Service, she held several senior appointments, including Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Housing Development Board, and Chief Executive Officer of the Singapore Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority of Singapore.
Ms Tan was awarded the Public Service Medal in 1999, the NTUC Medal of Commendation in 2001, and the Public Administration Medal (Gold) in 2013.
Ms Tan graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Estate Management from the National University of Singapore and a Master of Business Administration (with Distinction) from New York University, USA.
Mr Lim Ming Yan is the Chairman of Singapore Business Federation and holds directorships of several listed and private companies including Singapore Press Holdings Limited and Sembcorp Industries.
Mr Lim was formerly the President and Group CEO of CapitaLand Limited prior to his retirement in 2018.
Mr Lim was a recipient of the Singapore Armed Forces Overseas Scholarship in 1982. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and Economics (First Class Honours) from the University of Birmingham, UK in 1985, and was later conferred an Honorary Doctorate by the University in 2015.
