Finalists for The Best FIFA Women’s Coach and The Best FIFA Men’s Coach announced

The final nominees in the coaching categories have been revealed; Tomorrow, FIFA (www.FIFA.com) will announce who is still in the running to be crowned the best female player and best male player respectively; The Best FIFA Football Awards™ ceremony will be broadcast live from the Home of FIFA in Zurich on 17 January.

FIFA has announced the finalists for The Best FIFA Women’s Coach (fifa.fans/3qWRaFA) and The Best FIFA Men’s Coach (fifa.fans/3eY6TPm) awards.

The final three nominees for The Best FIFA Women’s Coach are (in alphabetical order):

  • Lluís Cortés (Spain / FC Barcelona)
  • Emma Hayes (England / Chelsea FC Women)
  • Sarina Wiegman (Netherlands / Dutch national team / English national team)

The final three nominees for The Best FIFA Men’s Coach are (in alphabetical order):

  • Pep Guardiola (Spain / Manchester City FC)
  • Roberto Mancini (Italy / Italian national team)
  • Thomas Tuchel (Germany / Chelsea FC)

These two awards are given to the outstanding coach in women’s and men’s football as voted for by an international jury respectively comprising the current coaches of all women’s/men’s national teams (one per team), the current captains of all women’s/men’s national teams (one per team), one specialist journalist from each territory represented by a national team and fans registered on FIFA.com.

The full voting and award process is detailed in the Rules of Allocation (fifa.fans/3zzW1AO).

All the winners of The Best FIFA Football Awards™ 2021, including the recipients of the FIFA Fan Award (fifa.fans/3EX4E9r) and the FIFA Fair Play Award (fifa.fans/33743F9), will be crowned on 17 January during a TV show broadcast live from the Home of FIFA in Zurich.

Tomorrow (Friday, 7 January), FIFA will unveil the three nominees for The Best FIFA Women’s Player (fifa.fans/3EV43VX) and The Best FIFA Men’s Player (fifa.fans/3JOFPQy) during a live online event at 15:00 CET featuring the FIFA Legends Kristine Lilly and Sami Khedira.
