Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) provided equipment and instruments to the Algerian Agency for Cultural Outreach for the establishment of a music and plastic arts workshop.
TİKA provided equipment and instruments to the arts workshops established by the Algerian Agency for Cultural Outreach, which is an important cultural center in Algeria and serves within an Ottoman-era summer palace built in 1715, in order to make arts available to Algerian children.
The ceremony held for the workshops established was attended by Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş, the Republic of Turkey’s Ambassador to Algeria; Dr. Alparslan Çevik, TİKA’s Coordinator in Algeria; Abdelkader Bendamèche, Director of the Algerian Agency for Cultural Outreach; and Algerian artists.
During the ceremony, Mustafa Şükrü Erfüs, an architect and paper marbling artist, introduced the art of paper marbling with a live performance, and Algerian artists had the chance to make their own marbled papers.
