Mona Singh will be seen playing the role of Pinky Kaur, sister of Laal Singh Chaddha, played by Aamir Khan in the film. Helmed by Avadait Chandan, the film is an official remake of the American hit, Forrest Gump.
Talking to NewsHelpline on the sidelines of Glory Awards, actress Mona Singh said, “I am really excited about it, I mean, it was supposed to release last year but it got delayed due to pandemic. I am excited as we have worked hard for it, we shot it in Punjab during winters and the story is fascinating”
Further adding, Mona Singh she doesn’t have any expectations, as she like surprises, she said, “I don’t have any expectation, then everything becomes a surprise, and I like that. I gave in my best; I did my 100 percent and rest is audience to decide after watching the film”
Aamir Khan Productions and Viacom 18 Studios have joined forces for this film. Aamir Khan features in the title role, with Kareen Kapoor Khan portraying his on-screen wife, Maneela Sodhi.
Mona Singh also talked about her journey in entertainment industry and thanked all her fans, she said, “It has been a wonderful journey, I started my career in 2003, and never looked back. I would like to thank all the fans for continuous love, support, and appreciation, which is why I am still here”
With Christmas and New Year around the corner, Mona Singh urged everyone to be careful. She said, “There is pandemic, there is virus, and it has started to feel like new normal, but we all must do is adjust, be safe and aware, keep your mask on, take care of your loved ones and your parents, because these times are scary, and I don’t think this virus is going away any time soon”
Laal Singh Chaddha will hit theatres worldwide on 14th April 2022 on Baisakhi.
