The makers of superhero movie, Minnal Murali hosted a special screening of the film in Mumbai, prior to its world premiere on 24th December 2021.
During his interaction with NewsHelpline, lead actor Tovino Thomas expressed that Basil Joseph directorial will be a steppingstone for Malayalam cinema’s foray into world cinema.
He said, “I am also excited about the fact that coming from Malayalam industry, audience haven’t watched best Malayalam movies yet, because the greatest Malayalam movies haven’t reach here. So, I believe this is going to be a steppingstone. There are a lot of great Malayalam movies yet to come, we have a reputation of making movies with good content, but we rarely get a chance to showcase our content to the audience outside Kerala”
“We never had a world distribution system as solid as Bollywood or Tollywood or Kollywood. But this 24th December, Minnal Murali will release on Netflix and hopefully it will be a steppingstone for Malayalam industry to reach out to the world” added Tovino Thomas.
The film is bankrolled by Sophia Paul, under the banner of Weekend Blockbusters. The film will have its world premiere on Netflix on 24th December 2021.
