Helmed by Vishal Furia and bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Vikram Malhotra, Jack Davis, Shikhaa Sharma and Shiv Chanana. A remake of the Marathi-language film Lapachhapi (2017), the film featuring Nushrratt Bharuccha in the lead role, alongside Mita Vashisht, Rajesh Jais and Saurabh Goyal.
The film released digitally on Amazon Prime and instantly found its audience and become one of the most streamed movie. Now the makers announces the second instalment.
The official handle of T-series film dropped a teaser poster confirming the second instalment. The caption read, “Fear will return with #Chhorii2. It is amazing to team up once again with @abundantiaent @psychscares and @crypttv to take the Chhorii franchise forward! @nushrrattbharuccha @furia_vishal @ivikramix @shikhaarif.sharma @notjackdavis”
The film will be helmed by Vishal Furia and stars Nushrratt Bharuccha, and it is slated for 2023.
Sharing her excitement about the second part, Nushrratt also shared the same and wrote, “It’s your love and encouragement that’s bringing us back! Ecstatic to share with you that the world of Chhorii will get a new edition in 2022. #Chhorii2”
Apart from the horror franchise, Nushrratt is also busy with Ram Setu, which stars Akshay Kumar and Jacqueline Fernandez in the lead roles.
