Bihar: ATS begins probe into Bhagalpur bomb blasts

Patna, Dec 15 (SocialNews.XYZ) The Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) of the Bihar police has launched an investigation into the bomb blasts and recovery of explosives in the state's Bhagalpur district, an official said on Wednesday.

The police have recovered bombs from five places in the last six days. Two explosions also rocked two different places in which 2 persons were killed. On Wednesday, a bomb was recovered from Bhagalpur's Handiapatti village.

The ATS suspects a terror angle in these seizures and explosions. The district police have seized two 'container bombs' and two 'tiffin bombs' which are generally used by the terrorists for blasts.

On December 9, a bomb exploded at a railway track following which one person was killed. During a search, the police team recovered two live bombs from the place.

On December 11, two children sustained minor injuries after a bomb exploded in Momin Tola under Nathnagar police station.

A 'tiffin bomb' exploded at Makhdum Shah Dargah Ghat on December 13, killing a minor. While playing, the child found a brand new tiffin box. When he opened the box, it exploded and took his life.

On December 14, two 'container bombs' were recovered from Saidpur village under Jagadishpur police station.

Another bomb was recovered from Handiapatti village under Nathnagar police station on December 15.
