Tributes have been pouring in from across the country after India’s first Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Bipin Rawat passed away in a chopper crash near Coonoor in Tamil Nadu on Wednesday (December 8).
Today, artist Shashi Adkar’s tribute to late CDS General Bipin Rawat with a beautiful leaf art has gone viral on social media. The video of late CDS Bipin Rawat’s portrait carved on a peepal leaf has been in wide circulation today on the internet.
In the unique artwork video, the song 'Teri Mitti' from the movie “Kesari” is heard in the background.

The extremely carefully crafted portrait video, first shared by the Karnataka-based artist yesterday on his Facebook and Instagram accounts, has got the internet talking. Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, actor Anupam Kher, industrialist Anand Mahindra, IPS officer HGS Dhaliwal and many others have shared on social media the one-of-its-kind leaf tribute video.

Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat and his wife Madhulika Rawat were cremated at the Brar Square crematorium in Delhi Cantonment. The last rites were performed with full military honours. About 800 service personnel took part in the cremation ceremony.
General Bipin Rawat, his wife and 11 other military personnel died in a helicopter crash near Coonoor in Tamil Nadu’s Niligiris district on Wednesday (December 8).
