Filmmaker SS Rajamouli along with Jr NTR, Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt and entire cast and crew were interacting with media at the trailer launch of RRR movie in Mumbai.
The pan-India movie is a fictional take on the lives of unsung freedom fighters Komaram Bheem and Alluri Sitarama Raju, played by Jr NTR and Ram Charan.
Telugu star Jr NTR is known for his regional movies, but RRR marks his first ever Pan-India release. When asked about his first such release, he said, “SS Rajamouli film is a prefect vessel to enter Pan-India space. Let me not talk about the business aspect, but as an actor, Rajamouli has always been able to satisfy my thirst as an actor of wanting to do something different. An actor should never be very comfortable, and he as a filmmaker was able to tickle that part in me, not just with the films he does with me, but in general as well. He is friend of mine, and he is someone who pushes me get out of my comfort zone. And this movie also opens a lot of doors for me as an actor”
“SS Rajamouli is a great sculptor, when we started our relationship few years ago, he just stuck in my head, and he has been there ever since. The response to the trailer is amazing, come to think of it, we make movies for such response” added NTR.
Jr NTR enjoys a diehard fan following which is something short of envy for others. Talking about his wide-spread fan base, NTR said, “Having an incredible fan following, I can only say, I am truly blessed, nothing else”
The ‘RRR’ trailer offers great visuals, stunning sets and amazing performances by actors, the film is set in pre-Independence era.
With an ensemble star cast of Ram Charan and Jr NTR, Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, Olivia Morris will be seen in pivotal roles, while Samuthirakani, Ray Stevenson, Shirya Saran and Alison Doody are in supporting roles.
The Telugu-language period action drama is produced by D.V.V. Danayya of DVV Entertainments. 'RRR' is releasing on January 7, across India in multiple languages.
