Riteish Deshmukh To Make His Directorial Debut With Ved

Mumbai, 8th December (Newshelpline) - Known for his comic avatars and out of the box movie choices, actor Riteish Deshmukh announces his directorial venture Ved, the movie also marks the comeback for wife Genelia to silver screen.

Actor Riteish Deshmukh took to his social media profile and dropped the first look poster of his directorial debut. He shared, “After being in front of the camera for 20 years, I take a big leap to stand behind it for the first time. As I direct my first marathi film, I humbly ask you all for your good wishes and blessings. Be a part of this journey, be a part of this madness. Ved (Madness)”

Interestingly, Riteish's wife and actor Genelia Deshmukh, who has delivered hit flicks in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada, will be making her acting debut in Marathi cinema with this film, and her comeback to silver screen after a long gap of 10 years.

The film also stars Jiya Shankar and Riteish himself.

As a producer, Riteish has backed Marathi films such as Balak Palak, Lai Bhaari, Faster Fene etc. He made his acting debut in Marathi cinema with Lai Bhaari (2014), helmed by late Nishikant Kamat.
