As Samantha looks forward to a great next year and is ready to begin her reign as more interesting roles come her way, we take a look at how she excelled essaying different characters so far.
Here are Samantha’s effortlessly well-performed characters:
Her characters had very strong scripts. In a decade of her career, the actor performed many challenging roles. As Bindu in fantasy action film & visual wonder “Eega”, she romances a fly (Nani) and lived the role. If in the mass “Theri”, she was the lovely Mithra who gave life to her character and just nailed it, she was cute, innocent, and loaded with adorableness as Anasuya Ramalingam in the romantic family drama “A…Aa”.
And, she looked tough and breathed life into her role as Rama Lakshmi in period action-drama “Rangasthalam”. In the thriller “Super Deluxe”, she was brilliant as Vaembu. Her character as Swathi in the fantasy comedy “Oh! Baby” was so amazing that she was liked by all age groups.
In all of the above films, Samantha’s performance is the backbone. In each one of them, she was at matured perfection.
And, in her recent “The Family Man2”, her Hindi digital debut web series, she was seen playing an intense, de-glam negative role called Raji, a Sri Lankan Tamil terrorist. This was her hard-hitting powerhouse performance. She fit superbly in the engaging plot and was also seen doing some action sequences for the first time. With this fabulous performance in the web show, she marked her beginning in Hindi.
Always selecting different roles and with a passion to turn her characters into icons, there is no stopping Samantha now as she becomes the first South Indian actress to go to Hollywood.
