We love our cops and our cop's movies. Especially when it's a woman who is in charge. People have loved Sooryavanshi and they are flocking in huge numbers to theatres recently. Isha Koppikar Narang or "Cop"ikar as she is fondly known would be essaying the role of Anjani Sinha in Ram Gopal Verma" next series Kadapa which was a case down south. Any male officer who went there and took charge was either murdered or returned without success and then Mrs. Anjani Sinha takes over and the journey hence. People have been wanting to see a female cop in the Rohit Shetty cop universe and we reckon it's about time as well. Who better than Isha to play that.?
We caught up on isha to talk about her next and her thoughts on the cop universe of Bollywood and here is what she says, "Normally women are not considered as strong as men. But we have the likes of Dr. Kiran Bedi and many more. I am doing a massive web series with Ram Gopal Varma called KADAPPA produced by MX Player and Times Internet. I am playing a police officer from the north posted to an unbelievably ultra violent region in interior south India and that story is projected through my characters experiences and interactions with them very much like how the Colombian ganglords story is narrated by an American agent in Narcos.
Every policeman who went there failed and then a woman cop was sent there and how the story unfolds. We see power as physical but it's as much mental if not more. I love Rohit Shetty's portrayal of the cops. The cops are generally underrated. And they deserve a lot of applause which they are beginning to get now. It would be an exciting idea to be a lady cop in that universe. I am loving each day now and doing my best to bring quality entertainment to people. And that's what I am committed to."
That gets us very excited. We have been looking for that female cop project and here is what we have. We wish Isha all the very best and we could not have a better female cop than our very own Isha "Cop"ikar Narang.
