Disney+ Hotstar has apparently disputed the Amazon Prime Video premieres of Drushyam 2. The OTT giant has reportedly called out the makers of Drushyam 2 for going behind the backdoor to strike a deal with Amazon Prime Video.
Apparently, the makers of Drushyam 2 had struck a deal with Disney+ Hotstar regarding the direct to OTT release of the film. But later, they changed their mind and went ahead with Amazon Prime. They didn't even intimate Disney+ Hotstar about the whole development.
Vexed with the approach taken by the makers of Drushyam 2, Disney+ Hotstar has decided to raise a complaint about not honouring the agreement. Suresh Babu, who funded the Venkatesh starrer will now have to face the legal consequences.
Drushyam is premiering on Amazon Prime Video on the 25th of November.
