Sony Pictures Classics drops the first official trailer for the romantic drama, Mothering Sunday, which originally premiered at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival earlier this year.
The film is an adaptation of a novel by Graham Swift, it revolves around a maid living in post-World War I England who secretly plans to meet with the man she loves before he leaves to marry another woman.
The film stars Odessa Young, Josh O'Connor, Ṣọpẹ́ Dìrísù, Glenda Jackson, Simon Shepherd, Olivia Colman, and Colin Firth.
Mothering Sunday is directed by the acclaimed French filmmaker and writer Eva Husson. The screenplay is written by Alice Birch, adapted from the novel by Graham Swift.
Sony Classics will release the film on 25th February 2022.
