Dy SP Prison, school principal sacked for terror links in J&K

New Delhi, Nov 2 (SocialNews.XYZ) The Jammu and Kashmir administration has sacked a Deputy Superintendent of Police (Dy SP) Prison and a school principal for having terror links, sources said here on Tuesday.

Dy SP Feroz Ahmad Lone and the principal of the Government Senior Secondary School at Bijbehra Javid Ahmad Shah have been terminated from service for actively working with terrorist outfits after the Union Territory administration invoked Sec 311 (2) (c) of the Constitution to sack the two employees after an investigation clearly established their terror links.

The sources said that DSP Lone, appointed in 2012 during Omar Abdullah's tenure as the Chief Minister of the erstwhile state, hatched a criminal conspiracy with terror commanders to send youths illegally to Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) for weapons training and later push them back into Kashmir as active terrorists of the Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) to indulge in acts of terrorism.

It is learnt that Lone was working for Riyaz Naikoo, the killed HM terrorist. Investigations revealed that two youth, Danish Ghulam Lone of Braw Bandina district of Pulwama and Sohail Ahmad Bhat of Dogripora in Awantipora in Pulwama district, were recruited and asked by Riyaz Naikoo to meet his arrested associate and terrorist Ishaq Palla.

Both Rasool and Bhat reached Central Jail Srinagar and confirmed their arrival to Ishaq Palla. However, getting unsatisfactory replies to their queries, the jail staff refused to give permission to Danish and Sohail to meet Palla and ordered them out of the jail premises.

"When Rasool and Bhat were denied permission, Palla approached jail Dy SP Feroz Lone who after consulting with Ishaq Palla misused his official position and assisted in the issuance of passes in respect of both Danish and Sohail", the sources said, adding that the Dy SP personally went to the reception area and brought both Danish and Sohail inside the prison premises to meet Ishaq Palla.

It was in this meeting that a criminal conspiracy was hatched to send Danish and Sohail to PoK for arms training to join terrorist ranks to wage war against the Union of India. Both were arrested before they could cross over to Pakistan, they added.

It was an open secret that prisons in J&K were being used as a breeding ground for radicalization and even assassinations and terror plots were hatched from jail before August 2019. The role of elements like Feroz Lone holding an important position to facilitate such activities is what had led to a complete breakdown of the prison system.

The sources said that Javid, the Principal, was first appointed a lecturer in 1989 and later became the Principal of the Government Girls Higher Secondary School Bijbehara, Anantnag. He was a hardcore terrorist supporter and ardent sympathizer of the Hurriyat and the Jamat-e-Islami (JeI).

He played the role of an advisor to Hurriyat and JeI cadres working in Bijbehara in 2016 during terrorist Burhan Wani agitation.

As Principal of the government institution, he ensured that Hurriyat hartal calendars were followed in letter and spirit not only in the school which he was heading but its subsidiary institutions too. Javid by misusing his official position rather openly, disallowed girl students of his institution to study and participate in physical education and curriculum, citing it against the fundamentals of Islam.

He was supporting terrorists and motivating the girl students to study Islamic studies in a distorted way with the sole objective to radicalize them and fulfil his pro-JeI designs.

The Principal was appointed during former Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah's regime.
