BJP leader wants brainstorming session to rejuvenate party in Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 2 (SocialNews.XYZ) Veteran BJP leader P.P. Mukundan on Tuesday urged party General Secretary B.L. Santhosh (Organisation) to organise an urgent brainstorming session to rejuvenate the party in Kerala.

In a letter to the General Secretary, he highlighted the crisis in the state party saying it is being widely discussed in other party circles, the general public and opposition parties.

"We need a brainstorming session among our own affiliated organisations. More the delay more the damage and more the downfall. Karyakartas may come and go, but the ideology propounded by Deendayal ji has to survive the present crisis and be a permanent feature for the achievement of "Param Vaibhavam."

"Every positive suggestion from any quarter should be welcomed," wrote Mukundan, who is a former general secretary (organisation) BJP South Inda.

"Intolerance" and "threats of disciplinary" action will only silence sane voices, he added.

"Pre and post election scenario is a tale of faulty approaches. We cannot turn a blind eye to the stark realities. This will only lead to going back. We have gone 15 years backwards. It's time to shed unnecessary pride and ostrich like approach," he said.

The nationalist voters and citizens in Kerala have still a ray of hope, and commitment to the ideology among the rank and file remains intact, he added.

"We have the biggest disciplined cadre, but still we are not able to convert into votes the hard work of these cadres. We have to address this serious problem," the letter read.

Following the April 6 Assembly polls, the Kerala unit of the BJP not only lost its only seat in the 140-member Kerala Assembly, but also saw its total vote share dipping.

Mukundan said the BJP is the only organisation in Kerala that has been built on the blood and sweat of ideologically committed families.

"Many have been killed and many lead a life in the hope of a new dawn. Many lead a life after undergoing treatment and try to overcome the mutilation at the hands of hostile enemies," he said.

The present situation will not go down well with families who have sacrificed everything for the cause. The departed souls will never forgive the present crop of leaders who have betrayed them in every respect. The leaders have to take up the moral responsibility and start corrective action and prepare a positive action plan for the road ahead, the letter said.

"I have had the opportunity to work alongside Late Mananiya Sunder Singh Bhandari, Late Mananiya Kushabhau Thackeray and Sanjay Joshi. If this experience can benefit the organisation, please do not hesitate for a healthy discussion," Mukundan stated.
