The government of Andhra Pradesh is persistent about the online government-run cinema ticketing portal that is proposed recently. The Transport and I&PR minister of the state discussed the same with the Tollywood delegation that met with him earlier today.
Nani implied that the government intends to bring up the online cinema ticketing portal at the earliest. He says the government-run portal helps in curbing black ticketing and also keeps tax evasion at bay. Going by this comment, it can be understood that the government will soon be launching the online ticketing portal.
Noted Telugu producer C Kalyan vouched for the same. "We(Tollywood producers) batted for government-run ticketing portal. We are happy with the state government's decision," he said.
Kalyan has implied that a section of Telugu producers have obliged to government-run ticketing portal. It remains to be seen how the rest of the industry will react to the same.
