Akshay Kumar’s Mother Aruna Bhatia Passed Away

Actor Akshay Kumar's mother Aruna Bhatia, who was critically ill for some time, passed away on Wednesday.

Emotional Akshay Kumar took to his social media handle and announced the news of his mother's demise. He wrote, “She was my core. And today I feel an unbearable pain at the very core of my existence. My maa Smt Aruna Bhatia peacefully left this world today morning and got reunited with my dad in the other world. I respect your prayers as I and my family go through this period. Om Shanti."

Just yesterday, Akshay Kumar shared an update about her mother’s health, he shared, "Touched beyond words at your concern for my mom's health. This is a very tough hour for me and my family. Every single prayer of yours would greatly help"

Aruna Bhatia was rushed to Hospital as she was not feeling well; Akshay was shooting in UK at the time, the actor rushed back to India. She was admitted to the intensive care unit of Mumbai's Hiranandani Hospital.

Meanwhile, fans, friends and co-stars from the film fraternity are condoning his mother's unfortunate demise on social media.

Meanwhile on the work front, Akshay Kumar has a series of films lined-up for releases, starting with Sooryavanshi, Raksha Bandhan, Atrangi Re, Ram Setu, Bachchan Pandey, Prithviraj and more.

Prithviraj is helmed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi and produced by Yash Raj Films, the film is based on life of Prithviraj Chauhan. The film also stars debutante Manushi Chhillar along with Sanjay Dutt, Sonu Sood, Ashutosh Rana, Sakshi Tanwar, Manav Vij and Lalit Tiwari.
