The classic tale of a reporter becoming a chief minister of the state for one day and turning the tide for good, actor Anil Kapoor celebrates two decades of his stellar movie Nayak.
The film was not a commercial success but had a beautiful social message, and Anil Kapoor's stellar performance as reel life Chief Minister was highly appreciated.
Anil took to his social media and dropped a poster from his film and wrote, “20 years ago I was the Reel life CM for a day and the rest is history! A lot of people had their views about me doing #Nayak but I knew I had to do this film and believed in its message! And now here we are celebrating #20yearsofNayak"
Directed by Shankar Shanmugham, the film also starred Rani Mukerji, Amrish Puri, Paresh Rawal, Johny Lever and Pooja Batra among others. Unable to handle Shivaji's questions, CM challenges Shivaji to become the CM for one day.
Meanwhile on the work front, Anil Kapoor is busy with Jug Jugg Jeeyo, also starring Neetu Kapoor, Kiara Advani, Prajakta Kholi, Varun Dhawan and Maniesh Paul. The family drama is helmed by Raj Mehta.
