Actor Mrunal Thakur says she would love to play a sports person in a movie and she is just waiting for someone to offer her the part, on the sidelines of a book launch here in Mumbai.
Actor Mrunal Thakur graced the launch of “Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s debut autobiography - The Stranger In The Mirror, along with co-author Reeta Ramamurthy Gupta.
During her interactive session with News Helpline, when asked she has been a part of sports drama, Toofan, and given the fact she is a Mixed Martial artist, would she consider playing a sports person in future, Mrunal said, “I would love to be part of a film where I am playing a sports person; I cannot wait to play such a role”
Further she expressed her gratitude toward Mehra for penning her beautiful and strong role in Toofan, Mrunal added, “Thank you to Rakeysh sir for writing a part like Ananya, I think she is just amazing, not because she is vulnerable, she is so strong and we really need women like Ananya, and even for the future film that I will do, I want to be somebody who is mentally strong”
“I am waiting for Rakeysh sir to give me a script, where I would love to be a swimmer because I am hydrophobic and just the way he has mentioned in his book where he just pushed his son in the water to get over his fear of water, I would need him to push me as well in the pool or ocean, as I would just like to get-rid of my fear” added actress.
Hopefully, we will see Mrunal Thakur and Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra working on a sports drama revolving around swimmers.
Meanwhile on work front, Mrunal will soon be seen in Aankh Micholi, also starring Abhimanyu Dassani and Paresh Rawal. She will portray the female lead opposite Ishaan Khatter in the war action film Pippa.
She is also part of Jersey, also starring Shahid Kapoor and Pankaj Kapur, the film is set to release on November 5, 2021.
