Filmmaker Anubhav Sinha along with actor Riteish Deshmukh remembers late actor and director Nishikant Kamat on his death anniversary.

 

Late actor and filmmaker Nishikant Kamat, passed away last years on 17th August, he was suffering from cirrhosis. He was known for directing films like Mumbai Meri Jaan, Force and more. He also played a negative role in the movie Rocky Handsome.

Kamat was an alumnus of Mumbai's Wilson College and Ramnarain Ruia College where he rose to prominence in the amateur theatre circuit.

Filmmaker Anubhav Sinha just took to his social media and shared a picture of Nishikant Kamat and wrote, “He moved on a year back this date. Didn’t know him that well besides that long drinking night. Movies miss you Nishikant Kamat. Sometimes we let some of our friends just slip away. We shouldn’t. Sudhir Mishra just reminded”

Actor Riteish Deshmukh, who collaborated with Nishikant for Laal Bhaari, shared, “It’s been a year!!!! I miss you every day Nishi….Wherever you are, pls know that many loved you and still miss you. #NishikantKamat”

With his remarkable narration style, Nishikant Kamat was among handful of directors who delivered back to back hits, despite varied genre. He directed Force, Lai Bhaari, Drishyam, Rocky Handsome and Madaari in a span of 5 years and all of them were massive hit.
