Aanand L Rai has been one of the very few directors who have worked with Akshay Kumar back-to-back in two projects. After Atrangi Re, the two celebs shot for Rakshabandhan together. They wrapped up the shoot for the Mumbai schedule of the film recently, and Akshay took to social media to pen down a sweet thank you note for Aanand L Rai and the team.
Talking of Aanand L Rai and the rest of the team, Akshay Kumar wrote lovingly, “I’m already missing walking down these streets of Chandni Chowk. Even though it was a make-believe set…you made it look so real, take a bow @sumitbasu62. My wonderful co-star @bhumipednekar , thank you for providing the right balance with your splendid talent. And @aanandlrai sir…what can I say about you, besides that you’re a wizard and today as we wrap up the Mumbai schedule of #RakshaBandhan, I know I’m leaving the set a better actor 🙏🏻 (sic).”

Aanand L Rai’s Rakshabandhan is said to be a story about a brother’s love for his sisters. The film was announced on Rakshabandhan 2020, and Akshay Kumar dedicated the movie to his sister, Alka.
