Adoption And Surrogacy Are A Great Opportunity Says Supriya Pathak

Veteran actress Supriya Pathak has mixed-feelings about adoption and surrogacy, says she think it is a great opportunity but still an unnatural.

Fresh out of success of Mimi, which is a heart-warming drama about a young girl turning surrogate for a couple, but finds herself in a unique situation where the couple bails out of the surrogacy and the young girl opts for motherhood.

When asked about couples opting for adoption and surrogacy in real life and the number being in high side, Supriya Pathak said, “Personally, we’re playing with nature; the nature does not allow this, as it is not natural. And our film also says the same thing, yes it is possible, yes people are doing it, but the whole thing can go wrong anytime. It is not a natural process, it is a mechanical process. We’re playing with emotions”  

Further explaining, Supriya said, “It is my belief that girls in India don’t wish to marry early, they are career oriented and needs time to accomplish it. So I think it’s a great opportunity, perhaps a second option, but still, we’re playing with nature. This is not a natural way to doing things. I believe it’s always better to go the natural way, until or unless, there is no other way. Try not to do it, because it is not the way to go about doing things”  

“Without bearing the pain of carrying the child for nine months, all those kicks and endless pain, there won’t be a connection with the child. Someone else carrying a child for you, might help you maintain your figure, but there won’t be much feeling or connect, motherhood requires certain doing. If you have a problem conceiving a child, adoption and surrogacy is great opportunity, to atleast have a child” added actress.

In 2021, actor Supriya Pathak had 4 big releases, starting with Ramprasad Ki Tehrvi, The Big Bull, Toofaan and Mimi.
