Last year, during the lockdown, Aditya Chopra lent his support to thousands of daily wage earners of the film industry by crediting money directly into their bank accounts. This year the filmmaker launched ‘Yash Chopra Saathi Initiative’ to provide support to thousands of daily workers in the film industry and now kick-starts a vaccine drive.
Aditya Chopra has taken cognizance of the massive socio-economic and humanitarian crisis and launched a Covid vaccination drive for workers of the film industry has started at Yash Raj Films (YRF) studios, which aims to inoculate around 4000 workers in the first phase.
Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed the news on social media. He tweeted, “ADITYA CHOPRA INITIATES VACCINATION DRIVE... #AdityaChopra has initiated the vaccination drive at the sprawling #YRF Studios... Will inoculate 3500-4000 workers associated with #Hindi film industry in the first phase”
The drive, initiated by filmmaker Aditya Chopra, looks to facilitate the resumption on day-to-day activity in Bollywood.
YRF aim to vaccinate 30,000 registered members of the FWICE (Federation of Western India Cine Employees). The company has already vaccinated its employees in an earlier drive that happened within the YRF Studios in Mumbai.
