Actor Tushar Rungta has been seen in many shows like Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain, Excuse Me Madam, Jijaji Chhat Par Hain, and Happu Ki Ultan Paltan. Currently, he is seen in the Disney plus Hotstar Quix web series Chattis Aur Maina. He exclusively talks about his acting journey and more.
1.Who inspired you to become an actor?
Interestingly, I never had any inspirational person whom I would idolize. Since childhood, I liked making people laugh and the joy I would get by seeing a smile on people's faces soon turned into a serious love for acting.
2.What is your dream role and why?
I haven't thought about anything yet. I feel my work should speak for itself. I should work and influence others so that it becomes a dream role for them. So I am focusing on this rather than dreaming about some other roles because at the end of the day, I have to make an identity of my own.
3.Did you always want to become an actor?
In 2013, when I was 14 years old, I was clear with my intentions that I wanted to continue with acting so I started doing my first workshop at Balaji Institute of Creative Excellence, Delhi for 15 days and then started taking small steps and joined a theatre in Gorakhpur.
4.What are your strengths as an actor?
For me, it's improvisation. I think I have a good command of the comic genre. I can perform comedy effortlessly and with utmost precision. I feel I have a good sense of humor too.
5.Do you think taking up acting as a career was the best career decision in life?
I believe taking up an acting career was the best decision because this was the only option as this is the only thing I could do. I could have joined my father's business but I was never very passionate and inquisitive about it.
