1.What are the projects that you have done? (Please specify)
When I first came to Mumbai, I assisted director Saumitra Singh who has also directed a short film, The Wallet, starring Nasiruddin Shah, which can now be streamed on Hotstar. I have also assisted him with a short film, Kala Bai from Byculla, which will be released soon. Apart from assisting, I have also acted in a short film called Aakhri Panna, on MX Player for whom Soumetra Singh was the creative director and the director was Hasan Khan. After this, I got selected for Chattis aur Maina which has been released on Hotstar on 28th May. I had assisted Soumetra Singh for the first time when I had come to Mumbai, for a short film called Painful Pride which is there Yantra Picture Production house's page. It involved actors like Rituraj Singh and Pallavi Joshi.
2.Who inspired you to become an actor?
Akshay Kumar is my role model. I have watched a lot of Akshay Kumar's movies while growing up. It was fascinating how his acting looked very appealing and different in every film. I was obsessed with him to a point where I wished I could look like him.
3.Did you always want to become an actor?
I wanted to be a model since the 12th standard, but I didn't get much family support back then. My love for acting bloomed after college where I had participated in a lot of ramp walks and cultural activities.
4.What is your dream role and why?
I have no specific role in mind. To be able to portray any given character effortlessly is my utmost priority. As an actor, I feel I should be able to pull off any character thrown at me. I want to accept challenges. That's important to know what my strengths are.
5.People in the industry say that luck makes all the difference in an actor's career. What's your stance on this?
I don't agree with this. I feel hard work is equally important, if not more. Luck works only if you work hard. Sitting idly at home and expecting your luck to bring a positive change in your life, won't help. You have to push yourself to work harder. That can bring a positive change in your destiny.
6.What advice would you like to give people who want to become actors?
You have to be very positive and patient in this field. Sometimes things might take a little longer than anticipated, but keeping your passion for acting intact, should be your strength. Patience and consistency go hand in hand, and everything will turn out in your favor.
