Veteran director Lingusamy completed 20 years in the Tamil film industry, who made his debut in Kollywood with Mammootty's Aanandham, which was produced by RB Choudary. The film, which featured Murali, Abbas, Devayani, and Rambha, won the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Film. The family drama still holds a special place in everyone's heart.
He then followed it up with blockbuster films like Run & Sandakozhi. Sandakozhi dubbed as Pandemkodi in Telugu was a big hit too.
In 2009 his film with Karthi named Paiyaa and Madhavan Arya starrer Vettai also dubbed as Awara & remade as "Tadakh" were also big hits in Telugu.
His next film, Anjaan, with Suriya which was dubbed as Shikkander made a big opening across South states.
Director Lingusamy took a hiatus for four years and made a comeback with Vishal's Sandakozhi 2. The filmmaker is now busy with his upcoming bilingual with Ram Pothineni. Soon, details about the film will be announced.
Two days back, Lingusamy took the initiative to set up 50 beds for corona patients in Manapakkam ashram aided by heartfulness in association with CIPACA. Actor & MLA Udhayanidhi Stalin along with TN rural minister Anbarasan & "Mahanati" Keerthy Suresh opened the center for the public yesterday.
