Chandro Tomar fondly known as 'Shooter Dadi' succumbed to Covid-19 yesterday at the age of 89. She was admitted in the hospital on 26th April but the deadly corona took her away from us. Actor Randeep Hooda who was very close to her paid his homage to her with a special note.
Sharing a photo of him with her, he wrote, "Mhari dadi chandro gayi !! milna tha gaam main ! gaam mei nayi shooting range ka udhghatan karna tha !! baat fodni thi !! #covid19 ke kaaran program aage ho gaya!! ab to sirf yaadgaar hi reh jaayegi!! #shooter dadi (My dadi chandro passed away! I had to meet her in the village and had to inaugrate new shooting range there! The program got delayed due to Covid 19. Now only memories will be left!)”
Chandro Dadi picked up the gun at the age of 60 and won many National Level competitions. Everybody was so inspired from her story which was very well portrayed in the bollywood film 'Saand ki Aankh".
Bhumi Pednekar played her role in the film while Taapsee Pannu played her sister Prakashi Tomar's role.
On the work front, Randeep will now be seen in Salman Khan's starrer film 'Radhe'. It is an action film directed by Prabhu Deva which is a remake of South Korean film 'Veteran'. The film also stars Disha Patani and Jackie Shroff.
The film is scheduled to release simultaneously in theatres, as premium video on demand on Zee Plex and digitally through Zee5 on 13 May 2021.
He will also be seen in 'Unfair & Lovely' which is a social comedy film directed by Balwinder Singh Janjua. It stars Ilena D'Cruz opposite him and is based on the obsession of Indian's with fair skin.
